The African Trade Insurance Agency (ATIDI), is a pan-African multilateral insurer owned by African Governments. Its primary objective is to enhance foreign direct investments into its member countries while also facilitating increased intra-regional trade.
ATIDI was founded in 2001 by African States to cover trade and investment risks of companies doing business in Africa. It predominantly provides Political Risk, Credit Insurance and, Surety Insurance. Since inception, ATIDI has supported USD88 billion worth of investments and trade into Africa. For more than a decade, ATIDI has consistently maintained a Financial Strength and Counterparty Credit rating of ‘A/Stable’ from Standard & Poor’s. In 2019, Moody’s assigned ATIDI an A3/Positive rating, which was subsequently upgraded to A2/Stable in 2024 and reaffirmed in 2025, reflecting the organization’s robust financial position and strong risk management practices. In recognition of its growing impact, ATIDI was named the Development Finance Institution (DFI) of the Year at the 2025 African Banker Awards.
In July 2023, the organization unveiled its new brand identity, which provides a better fit to its growing stature as the multilateral trade and investment insurer on the continent, and has begun rolling out a Communications strategy to promote its brand and strengthen its position as a leader in the development insurance sector.
ATIDI is now seeking the services of a qualified and experienced Consultant to conduct a comprehensive survey, aimed at evaluating the current perception and positioning of our brand in the market. The purpose of this survey is to gather valuable insights that will inform strategic decisions to enhance our brand presence and reputation.
ATIDI therefore, invites well established and qualified firms to submit proposals for provision of Brand Survey services. The terms of reference included in Appendix A provides the details of the assignment and expected deliverables.

Please note that (i) the costs of preparing the proposal and of negotiating the contract are not reimbursable as a direct cost of the assignment; and (ii) ATIDI is not bound to accept your proposal.
The e-copy of your proposal should be submitted to
[email protected] by Friday 14th November 2025 at 14:30 hours East African Time (extended from Friday 7th November 2025).
Interested and well-established firms are required to submit two separate files (technical and financial bids) which should be attached to the email as below.
