Restoration and opening to the Public of the National Palace Phase 1: Lot 2 & Lot 3

The Federal Democratic Republic Of Ethiopia Palace Administration has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") toward the cost of the Restoration and Opening to the Public of the National Palace Phase 1 (Lot 1, Lot 2 & Lot 3), which it intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for.
This project is divided into three Lots: Lot 1, Lot 2 & Lot 3. This prequalification is for two lots only: Lot 2 and Lot 3. One Contractor may apply for both Lots IF AND ONLY IF the Contractor qualifies for the aggregate minimum Criteria Stated in the prequalification Criteria. The Employer intends to prequalify firms for:
Lot 2, which includes at least the following, works:
- Restoration of historical landscape park & fountain,
- Restoration of monumental fence and gate,
- Restructuring of the Art Gallery building as a picnic area for scholar groups, childcare, medical unit,
- Restoration of lion boundary, Monumental staircase & Monkey boundary,
- Restoration of site sanitary and electricity networks,
- Construction of a specific pavilion for scarcity,
- Termite treatment & prevention for the park and buildings executed under this lot including the inside the existing temporary collection storage Warehouse (estimated floor area of 2000sqr meter)

Lot 3, which includes at least the following, works:
- New Construction of One Basement + Ground Building integrating Individual and Groups Reception Unit ticketing area, cafeteria, shopping,
- New security check points pavilion,
- resting areas for visitors,
- Termite prevention for all the buildings to be executed under this lot.
It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in December 2021 for prequalified candidates. The FDREPA reserves the right to fully or partially cancel the invitation for bid for the above defined Lots.

A complete hard copy set of the prequalification documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1000 Birr. The method of payment will be cash. Alternatively, the documents can be downloaded electronically free of charge from the following websites: http://afd.dgmarket.com and http://www.ppa.gov.et/.
Applications for prequalification should be submitted in sealed envelopes, delivered to the address below by November 1,2021, and be clearly marked "Application to Prequalify for Restoration and Opening to the Public of the National Palace – PA002/PQ/2021".
