Smart Meters - Request for Expressions of Interest

KUDURA Power East Africa (KPEA) has received a financing from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD"), and intends to use part of the funds thereof for payments under the KUDURA Phase 5 Construction Project. KPEA hereby invites Applicants to show their interest in delivering 5500 smart meters for the project, Delivered At Place in Lodwar, Kenya.

Eligibility criteria to AFD financing are specified in sub-clause 1.3 of Procurement Guidelines for AFD Financed Contracts in Foreign Countries, available for download on AFD’s website.
Interested Applicants must provide information evidencing that their products will perform as described in the attached Specifications, and that their firm is capable of supplying the materials in the time frame required. For that purpose, documented evidence of recent and similar goods shall be submitted.

The Client will also take into account for the evaluation of the applications the following items:
• Past contracts of similar value
• Financial capacity of the Applicant
• Quality assurance procedures and certifications of the Applicant
• Product Specifications by the Applicant

Among the submitted applications, KPEA will shortlist a maximum of six (6) Applicants, to whom the Request for Quotations to carry out the provision of meters shall be sent.

The Expressions of Interest must be submitted to the address below no later than 28 February 2023.
