Name of Project: ACQUISITION OF AQUATIC WEED HARVESTER FOR CAHORA BASSA LAKE
1. HIDROELETRICA DE CAHORA BASSA has applied for funds from the Agence Française de Développement (the French Development Agency) towards the cost of ACQUISITION OF AQUATIC WEED HARVESTER. It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for suppling of the one Aquatic Weed Harvester for Cahora Bassa Lake.
2. HIDROELETRICA DE CAHORA BASSA now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the suppling of one Aquatic Weed Harvester for Cahora Bassa Lake for Cahora Bassa reservoir (“the Goods”).
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Supplying Chain Directorate at Vila de Songo Edíficio Waona or by the email address Tender-Aquatic-Weed-Harvester@hcb.co.mz and +258 252 82220 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00pm.
4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be provided to the interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above email.
5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence Française de Développement’s Bidding Documents for Procurement of Goods.
6. Bids must be delivered electronically to the above email address on or before 5:00pm on February 07th ,2024 and must be accompanied by Bid-Securing Declaration.
7. Bids will be opened in public via electronic means and in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 03:00 pm on February 08th, 2024.
8. Qualification criteria are as follows:
• Similar Experience - A minimum number of 5 similar contracts that have been satisfactorily and substantially completed as Supplier between 1st January 2015 and application submission deadline;
• Submission of balance sheets of the last 3 year;
• Annual turnover of a minimum 100 000 USD in the last 3 years
• No history of Non- Performing Contracts in the past 5 years.
