1. The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received funds from the Agence Française de Development (the French
Development Agency) towards the cost of procurement of design, manufacture, test, and supply, delivery to site of
erection, test and commissioning power transformer, Primary and secondary equipment, Power cable, and Shunt
Reactors supply for Lot one(1) and Lot two(2) . It is intended that part of the proceeds of these funds will be applied to
eligible payments under the contract for Procurement of Lot -1 Two Shunt Reactors rehabilitation of Northern Grid and
Lot-2 Procurement of Power Transformer, Primary and Secondary equipment and power cable for rehabilitation of
Northern Grid.
2. The Ethiopian Electric Power (EEP) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of Lot-1 Two
Shunt Reactors rehabilitation of Northern Grid and Lot-2 Procurement of power transformer, Primary and secondary
equipment, Power cable for rehabilitation of Northern Grid.
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office Ethiopian
Electric Power Head Office and inspect the bidding document during office hours 8:00AM up to 5:00PM from Monday to

4. A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application
letter to the below address and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 5,500.00 (Five Thousand Five Hundred Birr)
or its equivalent in a freely convertible currency. The method of payment shall be in cash or cashier’s check or through
telegraphic transfer to EEP Transmission Construction A/C No. 1000252665203, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE),
Arada Giorgis Branch and EEP BUMBUNA HPP A/C No. 0101181300051, NATIONAL BANK OF ETHIOPIA (NBE),
Swift Code: NBETETAA, for ETB and USD respectively.
5. The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions of Contract are the provisions of the Agence
Française de Développement’s Bidding Documents for Procurement of Goods.
6. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 2:00PM Local Time on (Addis Ababa) April 26, 2024 and must
be accompanied by a bid security amount for Lot-1 USD 29,000.00 (Twenty Nine Thousand) and for Lot-2 USD
93,000.00 (Ninety Three Thousand).
7. Bids will be opened in public and in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 2:00PM Local Time
on (Addis Ababa) April 26,2024 at the offices of Ethiopian Electric Power Head Office- in front of Kotebe metal tools
