The Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GMM), delegation of the European Union Facility for Refugees in Turkey (FRIT II), within the scope of the Municipal Services Project-I, is planning to tender “Gaziantep Nizip Solid Waste Landfill (3rd Stage), Mechanical Recycling Unit, Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) Production and Rehabilitation of Dump Sites” works within the frame of AFD tender procedures and methods, from the fund given to the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) with the section provided through ILBANK.
Description of Works:
Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality (GMM) plans to establish a new lot in existing Nizip Sanitary Landfill (3rd Stage), a Mechanical Sorting Unit, a Refuse Derived Fuel Production Unit, as well as the closure of 2nd Stage of the currently operational regional sanitary landfill and rehabilitation of two dumpsites. Mixed municipal waste from 2 out of 9 district municipalities of Gaziantep (Nizip and Karkamis) is transferred to Nizip Sanitary Landfill for disposal. The Project consists of:
1.Construction of the 3rd Stage of Nizip Sanitary Landfill,
2.Capping and Reclamation of Existing 2nd Stage of Nizip Sanitary Landfill,
3.Construction of a Mechanical Sorting Unit, and a Refuse Derived Fuel Production Unit,
4.Rehabilitation of 2 Old Dumpsites in Gaziantep; Araban and Nurdağı,
5.An LFG collection & biogas recovery unit for the 3rd Stage (Only design and construction of intermediate collection stations and main collectors).
The Employer reserves the right to require changes to the scope of the Works by altering, adding to or deducting from the Description of Works, such changes to be within the Bidding Documents for Procurement of Works.
The Employer intends to initially select a maximum of 6 firms for Gaziantep Nizip Solid Waste Landfill (3rd Stage), Mechanical Sorting Unit, Refuse Derived Fuel Production Unit, closure of 2nd Stage of the currently operational regional sanitary landfill and Rehabilitation of Dump Sites (Design and Build). It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in August 2024
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, (address below) during weekdays between 10:00 – 16:00 (local time). A complete set of the Initial Selection Documents in English may be purchased by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the address below and (b) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 1.000 ₺. The method of payment will be direct deposit to IBAN account TR 22 0001 5001 5800 7290 4046 01 (T.C. Vakıflar Bankası Şehitkamil Branch). The Documents will be sent by post and/or e-mail.
Applications for initial selection, should be submitted with the firm stamp marked on the envelope by clearly writing the full name, trade name, address of the applicant with the works to which the bid belongs and delivered by hand, by post or by courier to the address below by 13:30 (local time) on 26th June 2024 Alternatively, the Applications for initial selection can be submitted electronically under the procedures described in the attachment to this SPN. Late applications will be rejected.
