EXPRESSION OF INTEREST: REVIEW, REVAMP AND IMPLEMENTATION OF A
COMPREHENSIVE BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN (BCP)
The African Trade Insurance Agency (“ATIDI”) is a multilateral international financial institution
established under the Agreement Establishing the African Trade Insurance Agency (“Treaty”).
ATIDI’s mandate is to facilitate, encourage and develop the provision of, and the support for,
insurance, including coinsurance and reinsurance, guarantees, and other financial instruments
and services, for purposes of trade, investments and other productive activities in Africa in
supplement to those which may be offered by, or in cooperation with, public and private
investment and credit risk insurers. In doing so, ATIDI improves and facilitates access to
financing for trade and investments in African Member States, supports the increase of foreign
direct investments and the expansion of participant countries’ foreign trade and intra-African
trade.
As part of its Strategic Plan, ATIDI intends to revamp its existing BCP to implement actions to
be undertaken by staff in the event of an incident, disaster, disruptive challenge or emergency
adversely affecting its operations and human resources. The revised BCP framework shall act
as a reference document for staff to enable seamless continuation of operations and promptly
resume operations and provide core/critical services to the ATIDI clientele in the event of any
disaster.
ATIDI, therefore, invites Consultants to express interest to provide services to review and
revamp of its Business Continuity Plan in line with its strategic plan. Interested firms must
provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures,
description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate
skills among staff, etc.). Firms must have done similar assignments in the last 5 years, must
have managerial and technical capability and must be a well-established firm, in order to qualify
for issuance of a detailed request for proposals (RFP) and terms of reference for preparation
and submission of a combined Technical and Financial Proposal.
Interested firms may obtain further information at the address below during office hours i.e. 0800
hours to 1700 hours East African Time.
The e-copy of your expression of interest should be submitted to [email protected] The
closing date for receipt of expressions of interest is Friday, 15 November 2024 at 23:59 hours
East African Time.
