Project: WATER SUPPLY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR GREATER PARAMARIBO, WANICA, PARA AND MOENGO
DESIGN AND BUILD SERVICES FOR POTABLE WATER PRODUCTION TREATMENT AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS

The N.V. Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij has received funds from Agence Française de Développement ("AFD") and from the European Commission (“EC”), under the Caribbean Investment Facility (CIF), toward the cost of the WATER SUPPLY INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT FOR GREATER PARAMARIBO, WANICA, PARA AND MOENGO, and it intends to apply part of the funds to payments under the contract for the DESIGN AND BUILD SERVICES FOR POTABLE WATER PRODUCTION TREATMENT AND DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS (2025-01). The Employer intends to initially select a maximum of 5 firms for:
• The Rehabilitation of the existing 1,000 m3/h Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Van Hattemweg (Wanica District) owned and operated by SWM , the public water utility in Suriname including the rehabilitation of the 11 wells 100 m3/h each) to supply the Plant;
• Construction of a new 200 m3/h compact Water Treatment Plant (WTP) in Moengo Town (Marowijne District) and ancillary works (water network reinforcements in Moengo Town and water supply improvement works in neighbouring villages).
It is expected that invitations for bid will be made in May 2025
Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from N.V. Surinaamsche Waterleiding Maatschappij (address below) during weekdays from 7.30 to 15.00 SRT. A complete set of the Initial Selection Documents in English may be requested by interested Applicants (a) on the submission of a written application to the email address below. Applications can be requested until 28 February 2025. . The Documents will be sent by email within 2 days after application is requested Please note that hard copy submissions from foreign countries require a minimum of one week for delivery.
Applications for initial selection should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes with the text:
