Invitation for Bids

Construction of Garbage Collection and Sorting Platform in the

African Union Commission

1. The Africa Union Commission has allocated funds from the African Union Member States
for the Construction of Garbage Collection and Sorting Platform works in the African
Union Commission compound under Procurement Number: AUC/AFMD/W/002 and now
invitessealed bids from eligible and potential bidders who has experience in the area of the
assignment.
2. Bidding is open for all GC/BC Grade One and above for local contractors or equivalent for
international contractors. This Procurement process will be conducted in accordance with
the procurement of works under open bidding procedure and in accordance with the
relevant Rules and Regulations of the African Union.
3. Bidders are required to provide the following:
• Signed Bid form (Format provided in Section 4 of the Bid document)
• Valid Business Registration Documents
• Valid Contractor License
• Tax Certificates (Tax Clearance, VAT certificate, Tax payers registration)
• Written Power of Attorney (authority to sign bid documents)
• Curriculum Vitae of (CVs) of Project Manager and Key Technical Staffs
• Proof of having performed similar works in the previous 5 years
• Experience in handling similar projects with at least three (3) contracts successfully
completed, each with a value of at least USD250,000.00 undertaken within the last 5
years. Attach completion certificates and contactable references from previous clients
for similar projects.
• List of equipment to be used
• Priced Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
4. A mandatory site-visit can be scheduled through Email: [email protected] CC:
[email protected], [email protected], [email protected],
and [email protected] no later than 14 October 2025. Bids from bidders
who do not attend site visit shall be rejected.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 28 October 2025, 3:00pm Addis
Ababa time. Late bids will be rejected. Electronic submission is not acceptable. The outer
Bid envelopes marked “ORIGINAL BID”, and the inner envelopes marked “TECHNICAL

PART” will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives
and anyone who chooses to attend, at the address below, on 28 October 2025, 3:30pm Addis
Ababa time. All envelopes marked “FINANCIAL PART” shall remain unopened and will
be held in the safe custody of the Employer until the second public Bid opening.
6. The bidding document in English Language may be obtained from the African Union website
at the following link: https://au.int/en/bids free of charge.
7. Bidders who download the bidding documents are required to notify the purchaser (The
AUC) via email [email protected], with copy [email protected] with
full contact details. This will facilitate issuance of notifications, site visit arrangement and
others by the purchaser to all bidders where necessary.
8. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 28 October 2025, Time: 3:00pm.
Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’
designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on 28
October 2025 at 3:30 pm, Addis Ababa time.
