1. The African Union has received funds from Member States for the procurement of the
above-mentioned goods and ancillary services and now invites sealed bids from eligible
bidders for the Supply Delivery and Installation of Furniture in the Building A
Furniture, African Union Commission Offices.
2. The African Union Commission in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is seeking eligible bidders
to furnish office workstations, meeting rooms, and reception areas to ensure a
functional, ergonomic, and professional working environment in Building A. The
furniture supplied must be durable, aesthetically appealing, and suitable for daily office
use. Therefore, it now invites interested and eligible bidders with expertise and
extensive experience in this area to submit technical and financial proposals for the
project.
3. Interested bidders may obtain further information at the address below between on
Monday – Friday between 0800 hrs and 1700 Hrs local time before deadline.
4. All bids must be accompanied by:
• Proof of company registration and incorporation
• Valid business license and permits
• Valid tax certificate
• Audited financial statements showing an average turnover of USD 750,000.00 for the
last 3 years
• Proof of compliance to BS EN 527-1:2011 and BS 5459-2: 2000 + A2: 2008 as stated
in section VII
• Experience in the field of supplying, and installation of similar furniture with at least
three (3) contracts successfully completed, each with a value of at least
USD250,000.00 undertaken within the last 5 years. Attach completion certificates
and contactable references from previous clients for similar projects.
• Duly signed bid form in the format attached to the bid document
Bids that do not comply with all the above listed requirements shall be rejected on preliminary
evaluation.

5. Where a joint venture is proposed, bidders are required to provide full details of the
Joint Venture and clearly indicate the lead partner

6. Bids must be sent electronically in PDF Format to [email protected] cc
[email protected] on or before 10 November 2025 at 1500Hrs. (East
African Time). Bidders should ensure that the Technical and Financial proposals are
enclosed in an electronic folders clearly indicating the title and Procurement number.
7. The Financial Proposal must be protected by a password which will be communicated
at the time of the Financial opening. Late Proposals will be rejected. The bids will be
publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone
who chooses to attend, online, on 10 November 2025 at 1530Hrs (East African Time).
Bids must be submitted electronically in PDF format to [email protected], with
a copy to [email protected], no later than 10 November 2025 at 1500 hours
(East Africa Time).
8. Bidders shall ensure that the Technical and Financial Proposals are submitted in
separate electronic folders, each clearly labeled with the title and procurement reference
number. The Financial Proposal must be password-protected; the password shall be
provided only at the time of the Financial Proposal opening. Late submissions will be
rejected. The bids will be publicly opened online in the presence of Bidders’ designated
representatives and any other interested parties on 10 November 2025 at 1530 hours
(East Africa Time).
